Second Doctor Visit

Fever still persists! And no one else is getting sick.  It is so strange.  Her fever comes in the late afternoon around 5:00 pm.  It stays until the morning and by morning she is just fine!!! She goes to school because she feels great in the morning and doesn't have a fever.  Every night I think it will not come back but it does.

I thought I better take her to get tested for strep.  We went in and.....negative for strep!  So weird. She has no other symptoms of any kind except for complaining only occasionally of back or leg pain. But that is at night so I figured it is the fever.

8/22/13 Still Having Fevers

Kallia iss still having fevers but it is only at night. She acts tired and grumpy at night but hey...that's normal for her anyway!  She complained about her back hurting and not being able to stand up straight.
I've kept waiting for one of my other kids to get sick but so far everyone has been healthy.  Even with school starting no one else seems to be getting whatever Kallia has!  But it's strange because she has no other symptoms.  No cough, sore throat, throwing up, etc.  Just a 101-102 fever in the evening.  It is so strange.  She doesn't shiver or have the chills with such a high fever.  If I call the pediatrician I know they will say it's a virus and to give the fever a few more days.

8/20/13 First Dr. Visit

On August 20th  I took Kallia to the Doctor for a possible UTI since she had a fever the night before and complained of hurting to pee.  Urinalysis was negative. But there was a fever at night again.  Weird. Little did we know!  She didn't act sick or tired the first day of school!

8/19/13 Kallia's First Fever

The night before school started Steven was giving the kids Father's Blessing for school. In our religion a man who holds the priesthood can give blessings to his children when they might need some extra help.  He usually does this at the beginning of every school year.  When he blessed Kallia with his hands on her head he thought Kallia's head felt very warm.  Sure enough she had a fever of 101.  That seemed quite high since she wasn't acting sick.  I don't generally give medicine for fevers and Kallia hates to take medicine anyway! So we skipped the Tylenol and she went to bed.  I was sad that she probably wouldn't be going to her first day of first grade.

That night she woke up in the middle of the night crying that it hurt to stand up and it hurt to pee.

This was the beginning of it all.
